What just happened? Understanding social interaction behavior via simulation techniques
Relational event models have become a popular tool to analyse social behaviour in a dynamic setting. As new complex extensions are developed, simulations are needed to evaluate the performance and efficacy of these models as well as to study interaction mechanisms in dynamic networks. Using statistical simulators, we can better understand which underlying social processes are likely present to have generated the data.
